He has hands on experiences in managing the tax returns process from book keeping to reviews with tax authorities. He was exposed to different cases of Sales tax, VAT systems and different legislations. He has successfully led negotiations with leading local and intl. banks, governmental authorities, lenders, insurers, airlines, airports, Customs, Tax Dept. and suppliers and as such he has very strong personal relationships with many of the CEOs, COOs and other decision makers. In mid-2010, Ahmad served as the FC/Acting CFO of Airport International Group “AIG” in Jordan, where he mainly analyzed the project data, monitored budgets, set manuals/PandP/controls, enhanced staff productivity, quality internal and external to many local, regional and intl. parties. This happened at the time of significant VAT tax regulations impacted the project registration, filing and tax status. To proceed in 2017, he served the Compliance Director, where he developed Compliance programs to be compliant with all parties’ agreements, regulations or laws, implement tax, financial, regulatory activities and risk assessments, reported violations to BoD and Relevant CMTs with recommendations and needed actions. As such allowed him to gain this diverse experience and deep knowledge in Finance and Tax laws. In 2008, he served the Financial Analyst and Reporting Manager of “AIG” in Jordan, the main PPP “Public-Private Partnership” Project of a 25-year Concession Agreement. Such huge investment with a $1.3 Billion deal for a piece of the art Terminal; where he handled mainly restructuring, implemented systems and set PandP. Also, he occupied the position of Budgeting Process Project Manager for a project-based period. Moving forward, he served Accounting and Reporting Manager where he handled all GL Accounting functions, modules and ERP system modifications, developed divisional reports and improved reporting to all parties. Ahmad started his career path in 2000 when he joined TAGI-Auditing Dept. After which, he joined Orange Finance Dept. and witnessed Transformation Process under Orange (Member of France Telecom) including org. structure, PandP, financial analysis, reporting standards and ERP implementation Champion. Then to occupy the position of Head of Finance and lead Orange’s Subsidiary in Bahrain “Lightspeed Communication”. He has experience in improving the accounting cycle and financial reporting to be aligned with IFRS and tax laws.
